About us Troop 824 currently has over 125 youth members and an associated Venture Crew with another few dozen members. We have over 160 registered adults. Our Troop is situated in East Yorba Linda: Meaning, half of our members come from the Travis Ranch and Esperanza School area. The other half live in the Anaheim Hills area and come from El Rancho / Canyon. We meet at Santa Clara de Asis which is in Yorba Linda near the East Side Sports park above Esperanza. Troop Meetings are on the first, second and fourth Monday nights at 7:00pm to 8:30 pm. Adult Committee Meetings are on the 3rd Monday from 7:00 pm at and the 5th Monday nights are usually reserved for Courts of Honor. The PLC (Patrol Leaders' Council) typically meets at 6:30 before the fourth Monday troop meeting. We have a very active troop. We go camping around once a month on average, went on a 50 mile Sierra Trek, three or four separate summer camps, and many more events. We are a boy-led unit and we emphasize training and lots of hands on experience in youth leadership. We take very seriously the foundational ideals of Scouting and the mission of raising up young men in the fundamentals of citizenship, fitness, character, and leadership, all while having fun and doing things that would be missed out by other uninvolved youth. We have a very active and supportive parent contingent and we expect adults to take an active role in outings. Moms and Dads are welcome and often times we have the occasional sibling tagging along. The Scoutmaster: Mr. Peters
